Personal software project · data integrations and interface
A dashboard for my working day
Customer records, bookings, invoices and messages were spread across different services. I built a dashboard for my own use to find the things that need attention during the day.
My contribution
I defined the information I needed, built the service integrations and designed the interface around my working day. Most data is synced into a local SQLite database about every ten minutes.
From an open quote to the next task
Twenty CRM supplies customer and sales records, the Nextcloud calendar supplies booking times and venues, and Fastmail supplies email metadata. A separate sales report highlights conversations that need a reply from me. I can check a quote, its booking and the next task in one place.
Invoicing, marketing and service monitoring
Invoice Ninja supplies invoices and payment records, and Ledger supplies accounting data. Google Ads and Search Console provide advertising and search data, while Postiz provides post statuses. Hermes run statuses and Uptime Kuma monitoring help me spot failed jobs and service outages.
Showing the source and age of data
The interface shows a stored snapshot, so the update time matters. A missing booking price stays blank. Payment records from the invoicing system are kept separate from bank account balances.
Current use
I use the dashboard to monitor my own business and develop it as new needs come up during the working day. It brings open quotes, invoices and tasks together. The implementation is designed for my own tools and working habits.
